The Welsh National Championships and the South Wales community proudly present the 2026 South Wales Warhammer 40k Championships Series. This series of events provides players across South Wales with an opportunity to prove themselves competitively within the Welsh community. The series consists of 9 events, with 3 2-day events, 5 1-day events and the finals itself hosted across various venues across South Wales.
 
Each qualifier awards points to all attendees depending on their performance (full scoring is explained under the scoring section), and at the end of the qualifiers the top 8 highest scoring players will qualify for the Finals with all other players able to play in the best of the rest if they wish to do so.
 
Team Wales 40k is using the championships series as a key tool to identify and develop emerging talent across South Wales. The series creates a fair and measurable environment where players can be assessed on performance, sportsmanship, and adaptability against strong opposition. Results over multiple tournaments help highlight players who show not just one-off success, but sustained skill and improvement. This approach also brings the South Wales community together, making high-level competitive play more accessible and giving promising players a clear pathway toward national representation.

Refunds will be subject to a £2.50 administration fee.

Any request for a refund two weeks or less before the event will only be possible if there is a reserve list of players who can take up any refunded ticket and at the express permission of the Tournament Organisers.

Any request for a Refund must be made before the event starts. No refunds are possible once an event has begun.

Your choice of hot lunch will be provided by our on site Cafe facility.

Vouchers for lunch will be issued during registration.

For larger events our on site Cafe facility may be open selling breakfast rolls until 10.30 am.

No external food or drink is allowed in The South Wales Gaming Centre.
