Upcoming Learn to Play Sessions:

October 1st - Catan:

This classic game can be intimidating to new or inexperienced players but is so much fun once you get going!

In CATAN , players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities and roads. Players build structures by 'spending' resources (sheep, wheat, wood, brick and ore) in a race to get 10 points and claim the win.

October 15th - Dewan & Takenoko

Dewan is a fast-paced, competitive area-placement game for that features racing, placement, and hand strategy. During play, you collect terrain cards and spend them to strategically place your camps on the territory. Make the best use of terrain and resources so that you can satisfy the requirements on your story tiles. Along the way, gather berries and master fire to earn additional points.

In Takenoko, players will cultivate land plots, irrigate them, and grow one of the three species of bamboo (Green, Yellow, and Pink) with the help of the Imperial gardener to maintain this bamboo garden. You will have to bear with the immoderate hunger of this sacred animal for the juicy and tender bamboo. The player who manages his land plots best, growing the most bamboo while feeding the delicate appetite of the panda, will win the game.

October 29th - Ouija Manor & Arkham Horror

Step into the mystic realm between the living and spirit worlds in Ouija Manor one of our favourite cooperative deduction games. One player takes on the role of a spirit beyond the veil, helping to solve the mystery of their untimely passing - but they cannot speak aloud. To guide the others, they must align their psychic intuition to decode hidden truths throughout the manor and reveal cryptic messages using the Ouija board. Players must determine what caused the spirit’s unfortunate demise to win and bring this lost soul to rest.

Arkham Horror is a cooperative board game for one to six players who take on the roles of investigators trying to rid the world of eldritch beings known as Ancient Ones. Based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, players will have to gather clues, defeat terrifying monsters, and find tools and allies if they are to stand any chance of defeating the creatures that dwell just beyond the veil of our reality.
